The per tola price of gold in the local market saw a significant increase of Rs 1,000 on Tuesday, after which the new price became Rs 523,762.
This surge also affected smaller quantities, and the price of ten grams of gold rose by Rs 857 to settle at Rs 449,041.
The local trend was a reflection of developments in the global market, where the value of the metal increased by $10 per ounce.
Following this increase, the price of gold per ounce was recorded at $5,010 in the international bullion market.
The price of silver in the local market also showed an upward trend, and the per tola price closed at Rs 8,569 after an increase of Rs 128.
