Karachi: Askari Bank Ltd (AKBL) announced an 8% increase in its net profit after tax (NPAT) for the calendar year 2025, reaching PkR22.8 billion with an earnings per share (EPS) of PkR15.7. The bank also reported significant growth in its total asset and equity base, which climbed to PkR2.9 trillion and PkR151.7 billion, respectively, by the end of December 2025.
According to AKD Securities Limited, during an analyst briefing held earlier today, Askari Bank's management highlighted an improvement in the bank's capital adequacy ratio (CAR), which rose to 21.6% by December 2025, compared to 21.4% in the same period last year. The briefing also revealed a 38% year-on-year increase in net mark-up income, totaling PkR87.4 billion for the year. However, the cost-to-income ratio increased to 48%, up from 46% in the same period last year.
