Pakistan today issued a stern warning that it will immediately terminate the current temporary pause and resume its “Operation Ghazb Lil-Haq” with increased force should the Afghan Taliban regime or its affiliates engage in any form of terrorism, cross-border attack, or drone strike.
The declaration came as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) categorically dismissed an assertion from a spokesperson for the Taliban regime”s defence ministry, labelling the allegation that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire as “frivolous”.
A fact-checking unit within the ministry affirmed that no breach of the temporary cessation of hostilities has occurred from the Pakistani side along the western frontier, describing all such claims as “absolutely false”.
Islamabad suggested the claim could be propaganda instigated by detractors within the Taliban administration, potentially to create a “false pretext” for future terrorism or other hostile actions directed by the Afghan regime.
