Gumbat incident victim succumbs; suspects’ hideouts demolished

The person injured in the recent incident near Gumbat succumbed to his injuries today, after which a large-scale police operation was conducted in Daraza Sharif, resulting in the demolition of the suspects’ hideouts.

According to reports from the previous day, the deceased, identified as Sohail, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

In response to the death, a heavy contingent of Khairpur police launched a major search operation and raids around Gumbat and Daraza Sharif to apprehend those believed to be responsible.

Authorities found that the main suspects had fled before the police arrived. Subsequently, law enforcement agencies demolished the deserted houses, which were declared as the suspects’ hideouts.

More than five individuals were detained on suspicion of involvement in the incident during the operation.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur, Ameer Masood Magsi, issued a stern statement, affirming that the suspects involved in the case will “not be spared under any circumstances.” He vowed that the culprits would be brought to justice and “made an example of.”
