Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Indus Cloud, a Master Group entity, have entered a strategic partnership to enhance Pakistan’s digital infrastructure by introducing advanced Huawei Cloud solutions. This collaboration aims to meet the escalating demand for secure, scalable, and locally hosted cloud services crucial for organisational digital transformation across the country.
According to PTCL information today, the agreement signifies a key advancement in PTCL’s ongoing commitment to augmenting its cloud and data centre offerings. By combining PTCL’s extensive nationwide network and enterprise client base with Indus Cloud’s platform capabilities, the initiative is set to broaden access to Huawei Cloud stack services for both enterprise and government institutions.
This collaboration promises to deliver secure, scalable, and locally hosted solutions specifically designed to cater to the evolving requirements of businesses and public sector organisations, ensuring compliance and robust support.
The partnership deed was formally executed by Asif Ahmad, Chief Business Solutions Officer, PTCL and Ufone 5G, and Rumman Arshad Dar, Chief Investment and Information Officer, Indus Cloud Limited. Also in attendance at the signing event were Muhammad Sharukh Malik, Director Product Management Cloud and Digital, B2B Strategy and Product Management, PTCL and Ufone 5G, and Syeda Amina Ahmed, Head of Enterprise Business, Indus Cloud Limited.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ahmad highlighted the critical necessity for robust local cloud infrastructure as Pakistani entities accelerate their digital shift. Mr. Dar from Indus Cloud Limited commented on PTCL’s extensive national coverage providing a solid foundation to extend Huawei Cloud stack services.
