The bodies of a mother and her two minor sons were recovered today from a residence in Naval Colony, Kemari district, Karachi, prompting a high-level police investigation into these brutal murders.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Sania, wife of Shaukat, and her sons 14-year-old Shamroz and 12-year-old Mehroz. The family, reportedly from Bahawalpur, resided at House No. 43, Lane No. 6, Sector 4, within the jurisdiction of Saeedabad Police Station.
Upon receiving information about the incident, law enforcement officials immediately arrived at the scene. The crime scene was promptly cordoned off, and a Crime Scene Unit was summoned to collect forensic evidence.
Initial investigations have revealed that Sania had divorced her former husband, Shaukat, and according to the statement of the deceased’s cousin, Fahad, their relationship was reportedly strained.
However, the police have clarified that investigations into this specific aspect are ongoing, and no particular angle is considered final at this stage. Investigators are meticulously examining all possible motives and circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Authorities are actively obtaining CCTV camera footage from the area and employing advanced technical methods, including geofencing, to aid in identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.
SSP Kemari is personally overseeing operations at the crime scene and reviewing the unfolding events. He has formed a special task force, led by the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Station House Officer (SHO), with directives for the swift arrest of the culprits.
Through the Kemari Police spokesperson, SSP Kemari confirmed, “Those who take the law into their own hands and cause loss of lives will be brought to justice at all costs.”
