The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has now received $3 billion in full from Saudi Arabia after the recent transfer of the final tranche of $1 billion.
This latest transfer of $1 billion was sent to the State Bank by Saudi Arabia last night, according to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Finance today.
This is the second and final tranche of the significant financial package extended by Riyadh. The initial $2 billion of this aid had already reached Pakistan’s central bank on the 15th of this month.
