Korean Embassy organizes K-WAVE Fest to promote cultural exchange

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organized its 2026 K-WAVE Festa in Islamabad, which was attended by a large number of students, social media influencers and the general public, according to a press release issued today. The grand event served as a vibrant showcase of Korean creativity and cultural excellence, which played a significant role in deepening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Korea.

The festival featured numerous cultural booths set up by various companies and organisations, offering attendees a diverse array of experiences. A key highlight was the Korean Language and Culture Program, managed by the King Sejong Institute, which provided interactive language sessions, traditional craft workshops, and opportunities to try on the traditional Hanbok attire.

Participants were further engaged through lively K-pop activities, traditional Korean games, and a selection of food stalls offering authentic cuisine. A K-Beauty Master Class also proved popular, providing insights into Korean beauty trends and techniques.

The cultural gathering culminated with the preliminary round of the K-POP Festival, where emerging talents demonstrated their vocal and dance prowess. This event ultimately offered a crucial platform to advance cultural exchange and strengthen people-to-people connections between the two nations.
