A significant increase in silver prices was observed today in international and domestic markets. Globally, the price of gold increased by $46 per ounce, reaching a total of $4,540. This upward trend was also seen in local markets, where the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by 4,600 rupees, reaching an astonishing 476,362 rupees.
The price of ten grams of gold also saw a significant increase of 3,944 rupees, now reaching 408,403 rupees. In addition to gold, silver prices have also increased, with a rise of 94 rupees per tola, reaching 8,153 rupees.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, this fluctuation comes after a brief stabilization, indicating a fresh surge in the precious metals market.
Market analysts say that this increase is due to various global economic factors affecting investor sentiment and commodity trading. Consequently, the demand for both gold and silver continues to rise, highlighting their status as safe havens amidst economic uncertainty.
