Prime Minister praises government’s economic team for effective preparation and presentation of balanced federal budget

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the government’s economic team for effective preparation and presentation of a balanced federal budget amidst difficult economic conditions.

In a statement today, the Prime Minister highlighted that the budget is not only people-friendly but also development-oriented, which reflects the team’s diligence, professionalism and smooth coordination.

Particularly noteworthy were the contributions of several key figures, including Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, Adviser to the Prime Minister Syed Tauqir Shah, Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal, and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Rashid Mahmood Langrial. These individuals, along with officers and experts from the Ministry of Finance, FBR, Planning Division, and other related institutions, were instrumental in crafting the budget.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the economic team crafted the budget with the national interest in mind, aiming to foster economic stability, maintain fiscal discipline, boost investment, and enhance public welfare.

He expressed optimism that the economic team would persist in their dedicated efforts to ensure the country’s economic advancement and prosperity.
