Budget anti-people, no relief given to any class, farmers also remained deprived: People’s Party Punjab

In the Punjab Assembly, Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentary Leader Syed Ali Haider Gilani criticized the budget today, calling it ‘anti-people’. He stated that it fails to meet the needs of any social class and leaves no support for farmers.

The unfulfilled promise of making South Punjab a separate province remains a significant issue. Gilani highlighted that this unimplemented action has disappointed many residents, as the promise continues without any progress.

In his analysis, Gilani emphasized the plight of the agricultural community, noting that the budget offers no relief or incentives for farmers. The lack of support for the agricultural sector, which is the backbone of the area’s economy, is an issue demanding immediate attention.

Critics say the budget does not adequately address the economic challenges faced by various sectors. The absence of concrete measures to promote development and provide relief has drawn criticism from different quarters.

Discussion on the budget continues, with calls for a more comprehensive approach that meets the diverse needs of the population. Intensity in political discourse is anticipated as stakeholders push for amendments to make the budget fairer and supportive for all social classes.
