Mixed trend in Stock Exchange, KSE 100 Index increases by 118 points

On the third business day of the week, Wednesday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange exhibited a mixed trend, finally closing in a positive area. The KSE 100 Index increased by 118 points, ending at 180,511 points compared to the previous day’s close of 180,392 points.

During the trading session, shares of 564 companies were exchanged. Among them, the value of shares of 206 companies increased, while prices of 259 declined. The remaining shares saw no change.

Market analysts attributed the positive movement of the index to selective buying by investors in various sectors. Despite this upward movement, the mixed trend prevailed as some stocks were affected by selling pressure.

Overall, the day’s trading activities reflect a cautious market environment, where the scenario of the Pakistan Stock Exchange was shaped by both gains and losses.
