Fertilizer Dealers Urge Minister to Strengthen Agri Supply Chain

A delegation of the All Pakistan Fertilizer Dealers Association (APFDA) called on the Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Bilal Azhar Kayani, at the Finance Division to discuss issues related to the agricultural supply chain and the broader fiscal policy framework.

According to an official information today, during the meeting, the delegation stated that fertilizer dealers were playing a vital role in supporting Pakistan’s agricultural sector by ensuring the nationwide distribution of essential crop inputs. The representatives also presented their views on the Federal Budget 2026-27, particularly regarding tax and regulatory issues, and emphasized the need to align fiscal measures with market realities and the operational requirements of fertilizer distribution.

The minister acknowledged that the fertilizer distribution network contributed significantly to agricultural productivity and the broader economy. He appreciated the input provided by the delegation and assured them that their proposals and recommendations would be given due consideration. He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining a balanced and business-friendly environment through continued consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Both sides emphasized the importance of sustained engagement and cooperation to support fiscal stability, agricultural productivity and the efficient functioning of the country’s agricultural supply chain.
