Pakistan Railways is undergoing one of the largest digital transformations in its history, with Minister of Railways Hanif Abbasi today presiding over a meeting directing all digital services to be made more efficient, faster, and passenger-friendly.
During the recent meeting, Minister Abbasi emphasized the need for further efficiency and passenger-friendly services in the digital sector. The directive aims to enhance the user experience across all digital platforms associated with the national rail service.
Currently, more than a hundred trains are available through the connectivity application, which serves as a comprehensive digital resource for passengers. In addition, sixteen major railway stations have been digitally upgraded, providing passengers with free Wi-Fi connectivity.
To further assist passengers, information technology experts are available 24/7 via the helpline number 117, to provide continuous help and support.
These developments mark a significant turning point in the modernization of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure, aiming to streamline operations and improve service delivery for the millions of passengers who rely on this essential mode of transportation.
