Khawaja elected President of LRCA

Long-serving cricket administrator Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed has been elected the President of Lahore Regional Cricket Association (LRCA), unopposed, after the Pakistan Cricket Board’s election commissioner issued the notification of the results of region.

According to a report today, Nadeem is set to become President for the second successive term after completing his previous term from 2023 to 2026. Muhammad Jamil Ahmed has been notified as his secretary for this term which begins on 2 July, 2026 and will end on 1 July 2029.

The President of a regional cricket association manages the regional cricket teams from U15 to domestic sides, looks into the grassroots cricket development and also manages the club cricket activities in the region’s respective districts or zones.

The LRCA along with Karachi and Islamabad are the only three regions comprising of Zones, while all the remaining regions consist of districts. The five zones of LRCA are Shalimar Zone, Ravi Zone, Model Town Zone, City Zone and Cantt Zone.
