In view of Christian worship and prayer events across the province, including Lahore city, Punjab Police have further tightened security measures at churches and sensitive locations today. Inspector General of Police, Abdul Karim, has issued instructions to regional police officers, district police officers, and senior officials to personally check security arrangements in these areas and increase monitoring.
To ensure the safety of gatherings, search and clearance operations around churches, Christian areas, and other vulnerable locations will continue. IG Punjab Abdul Karim has also appealed to religious scholars, members of the Christian community, and peace committee members to play an active role in promoting interfaith harmony.
These measures are part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security during religious gatherings. The heightened level of alert underscores the importance of community cooperation and vigilance for the protection of public places, especially during significant religious occasions.
