The Meteorological Department’s Quetta Regional Centre on Sunday issued a synoptic situation report, stating: “A seasonal low lies over Balochistan. A continental air mass is present over the western parts of the province, while moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the southern and eastern regions.”

Rain, windstorms, and thundershowers are expected at isolated places in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Loralai, Dukki, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, and adjoining areas. Strong gusty winds accompanied by sand and dust are also likely in Chagai, Washuk, Kharan, Noshki, Awaran, Panjgur, Kech, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, and along the coastal belt during the afternoon and evening over the next 24 hours.

Very hot conditions are likely to persist in Nokkundi, Washuk, Panjgur, Kech, Dalbandin, Kharan, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Sohbatpur, Jhal Magsi, Usta Muhammad, and Noshki. Rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are likely in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Khuzdar, Surab, and adjoining areas.
