Central Secretary of the Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) and member of the Ziarat Protest Committee, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, said on Sunday that the government delegation had been informed, in clear and unequivocal terms, about the demands of the Ziarat Protest Committee.
Talking to the media, including PPI, here, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said that the protest sit-in at the Koela Phatak area of Quetta would continue until the demands of the Ziarat Protest Committee were met.
He said that the demands of the Ziarat Protest Committee included conducting an investigation into the Ziarat incident through a judicial commission of the Balochistan High Court, immediately clearing all areas of armed militias, ending state patronage of armed militias, guaranteeing that armed militias would not be allowed to operate in any area in the future, restoring the Balochistan Levies Force, providing the Levies with training and modern weapons, and dismantling all Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoints established across the province.
