Pakistan’s handmade carpet industry is set to make a significant international impact this October as the 42nd International Handmade Carpet Exhibition will take place in Lahore from the 6th to the 8th. The event is expected to witness unparalleled global participation, promising significant export contracts and new business opportunities for the country’s carpet artisans and exporters.
In a statement today, Carpet Training Institute (CTI) Chairman Ejaz Rahman highlighted the scope and diversity of the three-day exhibition, which is being held in collaboration with the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA). More than 70 esteemed carpet creators and vendors from across Pakistan are ready to showcase high-quality handmade carpets, kilims, and other floor coverings, with expectations of international trade agreements.
Rahman described the exhibition as a historic tribute to Pakistan’s rich carpet-making heritage, calling it a significant moment not only for the nation but also for the global handmade carpet market. The exhibition provides a unique platform for international buyers to view the latest collections and trends in Pakistani carpet design, promoting direct interaction with local artisans and exporters renowned for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
