Islamabad, January 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Convener of All Parties Hurriyet Conference-Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, Syed Abdullah Gilani held a meeting with a two-member team led by the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Raja Najabat Hussain in Islamabad, today.
Syed Abdullah Gilani while acknowledging the role being played by Raja Najabat Hussain and his team in the UK regarding the Kashmir movement, stressed that the activities being performed in this respect should be result-oriented rather than aimed at creating political optics only. He urged Raja Najabat Hussain to impress upon the UK government through these activities to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.
Abdullah Gilani also reminded Raja Najabat that the Kashmiri Diaspora living in the UK and Europe instead of working in bits and pieces should raise their voice in unison for the Kashmir cause and urged him to play his role on this count.
He appealed the JKSDMI chairman for establishing contacts with the Kashmiri leadership on institutional level rather than on individual level and said that the APHC encourages the relationship at such a level. Raja Najabat was accompanied by Raja Sajid Mehmood, the JKSDMI coordinator.
