Azerbaijani Fleet Begins Critical Pipe Shipments for Landmark TAPI Gas Pipeline

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has initiated a significant logistics operation, commencing the transport of essential pipes for the construction of the ambitious Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline.

According to information released by the maritime operator, the consignments are being ferried from the Port of Baku to the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, according to a report today.

A fleet of ASCO’s universal dry cargo vessels has been tasked with the undertaking, including the Natavan, Rasul Rza, Garadagh, Teymur Ahmadov, and Maestro Niyazi.

The company, which is part of AZCON Holding, anticipates that its vessels will deliver a substantial total of 11,700 pipes to their destination by the conclusion of the year to support the ongoing TAPI project construction.
