Balochistan CM himself monitoring rescue operation: PDMA

QUETTA: Naseer Nasar, Director General, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), has said that Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was himself monitoring the ongoing rescue and relief operations being conducted in district Killa Abdullah area of the Balochistan province.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that operation to rescue people stranded in flood water was in progress, adding that relief gears, ration, heavy machinery and rescuers were present in the flood affected areas. Nasar said that relief operations in the flood affected areas of district Killa Abdullah had been expedited in compliance with the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Advisor to Chief Minister for Home, Tribal Affairs and PDMA, Mir Ziaullah Langove.

Meanwhile, District administration Quetta has imposed ban on some unlawful activities on 13th and 14th August, 2022 in district Quetta in the best interest of general public. An order issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Quetta on August 12, 2022 says, “Ban on the following activities is imposed on 13th and 14th August, 2022 in district Quetta; (1) One wheeling on roads (2) Use of snow spray (3) Use of high volume music in vehicles (4) Sitting on the roofs and windows of vehicles (5) Dancing / Attan on roads (6) Throwing water packets and all other such unlawful activities”.
