QUETTA: Balochistan Employees and Workers Grand Alliance, an alliance of different employees’ Associations of the province, staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club here on Monday.

They demanded of authorities to merge Balochistan Secretariat Services (BSS) and Balochistan Civil Service (BCS/EB) cadres into Provincial Management Services (PMS) cadre, fix 50 percent promotion quota for class four employees, possessing prescribed educational qualification, sanction 25 percent “Disparity Allowance” for the employees of the province from grade-1 to grade-20.

They also urged authorities to withdraw notification whereby teachers of education department had been deprived of “Time Scale Promotion”, grant up-gradations to the posts of different categories, restore quota of deceased employees, enabling sons of deceased employees to seek employment in different provincial departments and subordinate offices, bring “house rent allowance” of the employees of the province serving in other districts of the province at par with the House Rent allowance of the employees of Quetta city, lift ban imposed on trade Unions, grant “Risk Allowance“ for the employees of Health Department and issue “Health Cards” in respect of provincial cadre employees on the analogy of Corporations.

Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that if the authorities did not accede to the genuine demands of Balochistan Employees and Workers Grand Alliance, Chief Minister’s House would be besieged on March 15, 2022.

Protest demonstration was addressed by Habib-ur-Rehman Mardanzai, President, Balochistan Employees and Workers Grand Alliance, Dad Muhammad Baloch, Hameed Khan, Mama Salam Baloch, Mama Salam Zehri, Muhammad Younas Kakar, Qasim Khan Kakar, Laskar Khan Raisani and other leaders of Balochistan Employees and Workers Grand Alliance.
