Ban imposed on movement of cattle on roads and canals to reduce increasing traffic accidents in Sukkur

Section 144 will be imposed in Sukkur and Rohri for 90 days from July 15, 2025, banning the movement of animals and roadside trade.

Commissioner Fayaz Hussain Abbasi has issued this order, which prohibits the movement of cattle on roads and canals (Rice and Dadu Canal).

The directive also restricts the movement of animals from Rohri’s municipal limits towards the Indus River.

Parking of fruit, vegetable, and fish carts along city points is also prohibited.

These steps were taken after a meeting chaired by the District and Sessions Judge Sukkur, where Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.B. Rajar Dharijo proposed these restrictions.

The objective of these measures is to improve traffic flow, prevent accidents, and eliminate stray animals.

Assistant Commissioners, Police, Municipal Corporations, and District Councils have been directed to ensure the implementation of this order.

Legal action will be taken against violators under Section 188 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
