QUETTA:Divisional Bench of Balochistan High Court on Monday rejected the bail application of Imran Gichki, former Staff Officer to Chief Minister Balochistan and serving Secretary, Local Government and Rural Development Department in a case pertaining to owning assets beyond known income.
According to reports, Divisional Bench of Balochistan High Court comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Chief Justice, Balochistan High Court and Justice Rozi Khan Bareach rejected the bail application of Imran Gichki, former Staff Officer to the then Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani in a case pertaining to owning assets beyond known sources. Jaffar Raza, Deputy Prosecutor General appeared before the court on behalf of National Accountability Bureau. (NAB).
It is pertinent to mention that Imran Gichki was sentenced five years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs.08 crore by judge of Accountability Court, Quetta, Aftab Ahmed Laon on a case pertaining to owning assets beyond known income. Later, the accused moved Balochistan High Court against imprisonment and requested for bail, however, the divisional bench of Balochistan High Court rejected the bail application of the accused.
