BISP Initiates Skills Programme with Digital Payments to Foster Economic Self-Reliance

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has launched the Benazir Hunarmand Program, a new initiative designed to equip beneficiaries with vocational skills and promote financial self-reliance, announced Chairperson Rubina Khalid in Lahore today.

Speaking at a news conference at the BISP zonal office, the chairperson clarified that under a new digital wallet system, financial assistance will be transferred directly to the electronic accounts of deserving women.

Ms Khalid stated that the primary objective of the new skills-based programme is to make eligible individuals economically independent.

She also remarked that the services of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for women”s rights were acknowledged all over the world.
