Boy crushed to death in Larkana; woman faces murderous threat

LARKANA: A four-year old boy was killed when he stuck up in a fodder cutting machine in Sher Khan Jatoi village near Larkana on Monday. The injured was rushed to the emergency department of Chandka Medical College Hospital where doctors confirmed his death. His relatives said that the boy, Asad, son of Ashiq Ali Jatoi, was playing in the cattle pen where he came in the grip of fodder cutting electric machine and was critically injured. They said they brought him to the hospital for treatment where doctors pronounced him dead.

Meanwhile, a young pregnant woman, Saima Baloch, mother of two kids, knocked on the door of the court of 1st Additional and Session Judge through her lawyer Muzaffar Bhutto for provision of protection from her husband and his relatives who wanted to allegedly kill her on the allegation of Kari. The court directed SSP and SHO Rahmatpur to provide her protection along with her two children. She said after hearing that she was married to her relative Tanveer Baloch five years ago and she now had two children, 4-year daughter Rubab and one and half year-old son Aftab.

The woman alleged that after the marriage, her husband tortured her on various allegations but she did not make a complaint to her parents. She said that recently she became pregnant and her husband threatened to allegedly kill her for honour. She said she came here a week ago from Karachi to save lives but they were continuously threatening her.
