QUETTA: Forty-eight Sub-Divisional Officers of Communication and Works Department, Balochistan, recommended by BPSC for appointment in the department, have been awaiting appointment orders for the last eight months, it emerged Saturday.

According to detail, 48 Sub Divisional Officers (SDO), recommended by Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) for appointment in Communication and Works Department on November 12, 2021, have been awaiting for appointment for the last 8 months.

It is not known as to why the appointment orders of Sub Divisional Officers have been kept in pending by the authorities of Communication and Works Department despite the fact that all codal formalities prescribed for issuance of appointment orders of SDO have already been fulfilled. Candidates requested Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Minister for Communication and Works Department, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran and other authorities to get the appointment orders of Sub Divisional Officers of Communication and Works Department, Balochistan issued, enabling the newly appointed SDO to contribute for the progress and development of the province.
