QUETTA: Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Khan Noorzai, President, Balochistan Darts Association (BDA), has called on authorities to conduct inquiry into providing contraceptive medicines to the Directorate General, Population Welfare Department, Balochistan which is going to expire in June, 2022.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Noorzai said that more than 1500 contraceptive medicines had of late been dispatched to the Directorate General, Population Welfare Department, Balochistan for further distribution to the Basic Health Units and other field centres of Population Welfare Department across the province, but the mentioned contraceptive medicines would expire in June, 2022.

He added that it was impossible to utilize the said contraceptive medicines within a shorter period of time. He called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and other concerned authorities to probe the matter as to why expiry contraceptive medicines had been dispatched to Population Welfare Department, Balochistan and take strict disciplinary action against the responsible officers of Population Welfare Department, Balochistan.
