Three killed in Punjab robbery incident

AHMEDPUR SHARQIA: Unidentified gunmen shot dead three members of a family for resisting robbery in Ahmedpur Sharqia, Punjab, police said Sunday.

According to details, the incident occurred in Azeemwala, Ahmedpur Sharqia, Punjab, where three people including a man, his wife and a six-year-old were shot dead for resisting a robbery.

After getting the information, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the hospital. The investigation has been launched. The incident of street crimes are on the rise in Pakistan.

Earlier in August, unidentified robbers killed a young man for putting up resistance during a robbery bid near Karachi’s Northern Bypass.

The incident took place near Karachi’s Northern Bypass when the victim - identified as Ibrahim - travelling in a Suzuki was shot and killed during a robbery.

He was intercepted by armed muggers riding on a motorbike and as soon as he offered some resistance one of them shot him and rode away.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CTD issues list of most wanted 128 terrorists

PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday published a list of 128 more wanted criminals with the head money of each of the criminals enlisted in the released list.

The price on the head of wanted terrorists has also been fixed, along with the pictures, CNIC number, place, father record.

The head money of the terrorists has been fixed from Rs300,000 to Rs10 million, according to a document issued by CTD reveals. The name of the informant will be kept confidential, a CTD official said.

ANF seizes huge drug quantity from warehouses in Balochistan

QUETTA: Following the orders of the Apex committee, the Anti-Narcotic Forces (ANF) conducted an operation and seized drugs in huge quantities from warehouses in Balochistan, officials said Saturday.

According to the information, the ANF officers raided three warehouses located in the Pishin district, and a substantial amount of narcotics were seized.

The narcotic officers along with the district administration burnt down thousands of kilos of drugs which are allegedly manufactured in the warehouses and supplies in the local areas, however, no arrests have been made during the operation.

Earlier to this, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 428.943 Kg of drugs worth US$ 10.411 million internationally, arrested 36 persons including a woman, and impounded seven vehicles while conducting 35 counter-narcotics operations throughout the country.

An ANF Headquarters spokesman said Tuesday that the seized drugs comprised 79 Kg Opium, 14.346 Kg Heroin, 325.168 Kg Hashish, 9.758 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 660 Grams Weed and 11 Grams Ecstasy Tabs (18 Tablets).

ANF Punjab recovered 148.694 Kg of drugs in 10 operations and arrested 19 persons including a woman involved in drugs smuggling and impounded 2 vehicles.

The seized drugs comprised 49.200 Kg Opium, 12.750 Kg Heroin, 77.600 Kg Hashish, and 9.144 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice).

ANF North recovered 106.638 Kg of drugs in nine operations and arrested 12 persons while four vehicles were impounded. The seized drugs comprised 14.800 Kg of opium, 1.116 Kg of Heroin, 90.048 Kg of Hashish, 614 Grams of Methamphetamine (Ice), and 60 Grams of Weed.

ANF KPK recovered 79.011 Kg of drugs in 11 operations while arresting two persons. The seized drugs comprised 480 Grams of Heroin, 78.520 Kg of Hashish, and 11 Grams of Ecstasy Tabs (18 Tabs).

Six labourers gunned down in Turbat

TURBAT: Armed men shot dead six labourers and injured two others in Turbat area of Balochistan province, officials said Saturday.

They said that the attack took place in Satellite area of Turbat city. The attackers entered in the under-construction house of a local contractor Naseer and shot dead six labourers on the spot and left two others injured.

The attackers managed to escape after the swift action to unknown destination. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident. No arrest could be made so far. The deceased and injured laborers belonged to Punjab province of Pakistan, and were engaged in construction work under the employment of a local contractor in the Turbat area.

The bodies and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Ali Khan Domki has condemned the attack and murder of labourers in Turbat and summoned report of the incident from local administration.

Four of a family perished in road mishap

Arifwala: A speeding tractor-trolley crushed four members of the same family, who were travelling on a motorbike, to death on Pakpattan Road in Arifwala on Saturday.

Rescue personnel shifted the bodies of husband Umair, wife Ambreen Bibi and their two children to hospital.

The entire locality was in a state of mourning after hearing the news of deaths of four family members.

Zhob police seizes ice from possession of drug peddlers

ZHOB: Zhob police claimed to have seized large quantity of ice from the possession alleged drug peddler while unlicensed pistol was also recovered from another man in two different operations conducted in the precincts of Police Station, Zhob on Friday.

Following the directions of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Zhob Range, Maroof Safdar, staff of Police Station Zhob under the supervision of Station House Officers (SHO), PS Zhob, Shair Ali Mandokhail recovered large quantity of ice from the possession of an alleged accused Abdul Qayyum in an operation conducted in the precincts of PS Zhob.

Separately, unlicensed pistol was recovered by the staff of PS Zhob from the possession of a man namely Abdul Majeed Sherani. FIRs were lodged against the alleged accused at Police Station Zhob. Further investigation was being conducted by the Investigation Staff of Police Station, Zhob.

Customs seizes another catche of betel nuts

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized large quantity of betel nuts worth Rs 20 million in a raid conducted at a warehouse in Sakran area of district Hub in Balochistan province on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the spokesman for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, staff of customs enforcement, Khuzdar raided a warehouse near Sekran area of Hub. Large quantity of Betel nuts stored in the warehouse were recovered during the raid. Value of the seized betel nuts was reported to be Rs.20 million.

The seized goods were shifted to customs check post Kharkhara, Khuzdar. Further investigation was underway.
