Three bullet-riddled bodies found in Bolan

BOLAN:The bullet-riddled bodies of three men were discovered by the police in in Qabo area of Bolan district on Tuesday. According to police, three bodies were found in Qaboi, a tourist place in Machh, Balochistan. The identification of the bodies could not be ascertained as per initial reports.

SHO Machh police said the deceased were residents of Mangchar. Further investigation into the incident was underway, he added. Separately, on Nov 15, 2017, bullet-riddled bodies of 15 men were found in the Gerok area of tehsil Buleda in Kech district near the Pak-Iran border. All the deceased belonged to Punjab province and were kidnapped by a militant organization while trying to sneak into Iran.

Father suspected as two kids strangled to death at Haroonabad

HAROONABAD:In a shocking incident at Azeem Town of Haroonabad in south Punjab, two kids were strangulated to death with police suspecting their father for their death on Saturday. SHO Faqirwali police station Faraz Wattoo said that the children had been identified as 12-year-old Ahmad Yar and eight-year-old Khadija.

The SHO further said that the children’s father Nadeem, who had been missing for the last several days, might be involved in the incident. “A police team has been constituted for his arrest,” he informed. Bodies of both the children were shifted to hospital, he added.

Road accidents in Gojra, Wazirabad claim three lives

WAZIRABAD:At least three persons, including a minor boy, lost their lives and on other was wounded in road accidents in Gojra and Wazirabad on Friday. According to details, first accident occurred at the Pensara Road in Gojra where a rashly driven bus hit a motorcycle, killing an eight-year-boy on the spot and critically injuring his father.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. According to police, the deceased was identified as Waqas. The second accident occurred in village Saroke near Wazirabad where two youth were killed when they fell on the road after tyre of their motorcycle burst due to which they sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid handed over to police on two-day physical remand

LAHORE:An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has handed over PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid to police on two-day physical remand in connection with attack on Askari Plaza in Gulberg and arson incidents.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid was produced in the ATC today presided by Admin Judge Abhar Gul Khan. The PTI leader had already been in prison on judicial remand. Meanwhile, the court also sent 89 accused to jail on 14-day judicial remand in connection with attack on Jinnah House and other violent incidents.

The ATC judge rejected the prosecution’s demand for their physical remand. Another set of 14 accused suspected of involvement in torching police vehicles around Rahat Bakery in Lahore was sent to prison on 14-day judicial remand. The judge also rejected prosecution’s plea for their physical remand.

Policeman embraces martyrdom in Lakki Marwat shootout

Lakki Marwat:A policeman embraced martyrdom in a shootout with armed men riding motorbikes in Lakki Marwat, according to a report on Friday. A shootout took place between Shehbaz Khel police and armed men riding motorbikes during which the policeman identified as Zakaria embraced martyrdom.

The accused managed their escape good while the martyred policeman was shifted to Tattar Khel Hospital for post-mortem. The police launched a search operation in the area for the arrest of the accused.

Two girls among three killed in separate incidents in Lahore

LAHORE:Two girls and an addict were killed in separate acts of violence in the provincial capital on late Thursday and early Friday, police said. Zainab, 21, were murdered at her doorstep in Township. The suspects are not yet identified. A drug-addict was beaten to death by his sister in Shalimar Town. Both of them got involved in a brawl after which Aina attacked Hamza with repeated strikes of stick. Police took the female suspect into custody.

A 15-year-old teenager identified as Yameen was killed after he received a bullet in Nishtar colony area. Yameen was playing with a pistol along his friend. The suspect identified as Waseem pointed the gun at Yameen while playing and the gun accidently went off. The victim received a bullet in head which proved fatal for him. Police arrested Waseem afterwards

Robber killed in Lahore police encounter

LAHORE:A high-profile robber was killed in a crossfire with the CIA police near Mian Chowk, Jubilee Town early on Thursday.

The suspect was involved in multiple cases of heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and robbery. Asif, also known as Asu, was already in police custody and was returning after identification parade and recoveries when the accomplices of the suspect opened indiscriminate fire on police near Mian Chowk. The police mobile also came under exchange of heavy fire.

The deceased suspect was involved in firing on dolphin squad officials who are in critical condition. Four accomplices of Asif fled after shooting. A search operation to apprehend the fleeing suspects is underway.
