BJP’s bid to hoist Indian flag in Srinagar Lal Chowk foiled

Srinagar, October 26, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, local police foiled the BJP-RSS’s plan to hoist Indian flag in Srinagar ahead of October 27, which is observed as black day in the territory. Police arrested three BJP workers who were trying to hoist Indian flag on clock tower at Lal Chowk in Srinagar.

Pertinently, police on Sunday also foiled two separate attempts made by members of Hindu extremist members to hoist the Indian flag at the PDP headquarters in Gandhinagar in Jammu. The attempts to hoist the flag came two days after PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said she would not contest elections or hoist the Indian flag till Jammu and Kashmir’s special status under Article 370 is restored.

Kashmiris across globe to observe Black Day tomorrow

Srinagar, October 26, 2020 (PPI-OT):Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe the 27th October, tomorrow, as Black Day to convey to the world that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their motherland.

Call for observance of the day to be marked by shutdown in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other pro-freedom organizations. On 27th October in 1947, Indian troops in total violation of the essence of Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum in their statements issued in Srinagar appealed to the Kashmiris living across the globe to hold anti-India and pro-freedom rallies and protests, tomorrow, to draw world’s attention towards the unresolved Kashmir dispute and the suffering of the people living in the occupied territory. They said that since October 1947, tens of thousands of Indian troops continue to illegally occupy the territory.

FBR holds Tax Awareness Campaign in Centaurus Shopping Mall, Islamabad

Islamabad, October 25, 2020 (PPI-OT):Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)’s Facilitation and Taxpayers Education Wing held a day long Tax Awareness Campaign in the Centaurus Shopping Mall, Islamabad. The Campaign aimed to inform and educate the taxpayers and general public about launching TaxAsaan App, complaints redressal mechanism through Helpline and Integrity and Performance Management Unit, introduction of Point of Sales System and certain other facilitative initiatives taken by FBR. A large gathering of people participated in the campaign activities and appreciated this effort of FBR.

Member FATE Bakhtiar Muhammad, Chief FATE Aisha Farooq, Commissioner RTO Islamabad and other officers of FATE Wing were present on the occasion. While talking with media, Member FATE said that the purpose of this campaign was to tell the people about the significance of tax payment. He said that such awareness campaigns would be held in all major cities of the country. He informed that FBR had launched TaxAsaan App for the taxpayers to file their Income Tax Returns with ease. He reiterated the resolve that FBR would take all possible steps to facilitate the taxpayers’.

People acknowledged the efforts of FBR regarding tax collection and restricting tax evasion throughout the country. Different activities had been devised in the Tax Awareness Campaign to keep the interests of the people intact. Children took part in painting competition. Giveaways were distributed to the people. RTO Islamabad officials also guided the taxpayers’ on filing Income Tax Returns.

October 27 to be observed as Black Day

Srinagar, October 25, 2020 (PPI-OT):Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe Black Day on the 27th October to convey to the world that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their motherland. On 27th October in 1947 Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the essence of Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said that since October 1947, tens of thousands of Indian troops continue to illegally occupy the territory. It appealed to the Kashmiris living across the globe to hold anti-India and pro-freedom rallies and protests on the day to draw world’s attention towards the unresolved Kashmir dispute and the suffering of the people living in the occupied territory.

The Democratic Freedom Party in a statement terming the 27th October as one of the darkest chapters of Kashmir’ history said that the invasion was a naked aggression and an atrocious attack on the political and democratic rights of millions of Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, posters continued to surface in Srinagar and other areas appealing people to observe complete shutdown on Tuesday to register their protest against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The posters were displayed by different pro-freedom organizations.

A former mujahid succumbed to wounds at a hospital in Srinagar, today, ten days after he was shot by unknown gunmen in Pulwama district. The deceased, Tanveer Ahmad Sofi was fatally attacked on October 15. Delegations comprising senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and members of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum during visits to the families of the youth, recently martyred by Indian troops, in Srinagar, Islamabad and Pulwama made it clear that India cannot subdue Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom through use of brute force.

Hooligans associated with the ruling BJP barged into the Jammu office of Mehbooba Mufti-led Peoples Democratic Party and beat its office bearers. The attack came hours after PDP President Mehbooba Mufti refused to raise the Indian flag.

An anti-India protest demonstration was held outside the Indian Embassy in Frankfurt, Germany, against the rising violations of human rights by India in IIOJK. A large number of Kashmiri community members participated in the demonstration which was organized by the EU-Pak Friendship. Speaking on the occasion, the participants including the EU-Pakistan Friendship President, Ansar Mahmood Butt urged the international community to give Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

Sopori expresses solidarity with martyrs’ families

Srinagar, October 25, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori during his visits to Srinagar and Islamabad expressed solidarity with the families of recently martyred youth by Indian troops.

Ghulam Sopori on the occasion, paying homage to the martyred youth said that the Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiris on daily basis. He said that the Indian rulers should understand that the use of force had not been able to subdue the people’s resolve for freedom.

Khan Sopori also condemned the arrest of youth in the Valley and said that India and its puppets were using every undemocratic and immoral tactic to suppress the legitimate struggle and resistance of the Kashmiri people but they would never succeed in their nefarious designs.

JKYSF delegation visits family of martyr in Pulwama

Srinagar, October 25, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) visited Hakerpora area of Pulwama to pay tributes to the martyr Nazim Ahmad. The delegation was led by JKYSF vice Chairman Ghulam Rasool Kaloo. He was accompanied by Chief Coordinator Tauseef Ahmed, Faisal Ahmed and Abdul Sattar.

Addressing mourners on the occasion, the delegation members said, India is fighting an invincible war, while the Kashmiri people cannot afford to lose this war as it is a war of existence and survival for them. Ghulam Rasool Kaloo said that the Kashmiris were just demanding their international legitimate birth right promised to them by the world community.

He said the Kashmir conflict, one of the longest disputes in the world, is leaving behind thousands of untold stories. He made it clear to India that the Kashmiris would never forget what happened to them over the past 70 years.

Posters appear in Srinagar, others areas ahead of Black Day

Srinagar, October 25, 2020 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters were once again displayed in Srinagar and other areas appealing people to observe October 27 on Tuesday as Black Day against the invasion of the territory by Indian occupation forces on this day in 1947.

The posters were displayed by Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League. JKPL Chief Organizer Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad Khan and Coordinator Shaikh Nazir Ahmad in their statement said the Kashmiris would register their protest against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir on October 27 as Indian troops had invaded the territory in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Sub Continent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The unresolved Kashmir dispute was the biggest hurdle to peace and political stability in the region so the UN must take steps for peaceful settlement of the dispute, the leaders said. They said that the Kashmiris were rendering sacrifices for the just cause of freedom and urged the international human rights organizations to take notice of the Indian illegal move to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir.
