Chinese Aerospace Group Eyes Up to $10 Billion Investment in Pakistan

A major Chinese aerospace consortium has expressed significant interest in a multi-billion-dollar investment in Pakistan, potentially injecting between five to ten billion dollars into the nation”s economy.

The prospective investment was a central topic of discussion during a meeting between a delegation from China’s Aerospace Development Industry Investment Group and Federal Minister for Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, according to a report by MOIB today.

The visiting delegation conveyed its ambition to channel large-scale capital into Pakistan’s minerals, advanced technology, and industrial development sectors.

In response, Minister Sheikh updated the Chinese representatives on the government’s commitment to investment facilitation, highlighting that comprehensive regulatory reforms are currently underway to simplify processes for investors and commercial enterprises.

The minister elaborated that financiers are being offered attractive tax incentives within Special Economic Zones, coupled with exemptions from sales tax on the importation of necessary machinery.
