Chinese Steel Giant Explores CPEC Joint Ventures with Pakistani Firms

A high-level delegation from a leading Chinese steel conglomerate has engaged in targeted business-to-business meetings with prominent Pakistani companies to explore potential joint ventures and technology sharing, particularly within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to information today, the Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) facilitated the visit from Hangxiao Steel Structure Co. Ltd., an enterprise with nearly five decades of experience in steel structure design, manufacturing, and construction. The company is recognised for its significant expertise in infrastructure and energy, including involvement in large-scale CPEC projects.

During the visit to the PCJCCI Secretariat, extensive discussions were held on Pakistan”s industrial potential and investment climate. To advance practical collaboration, PCJCCI organised a dedicated B2B session, connecting the Chinese delegation with local firms including Rimtaj Industries MG (Pvt.) Ltd., IKAN Engineering Services (Pvt.) Ltd., 7Star Engineering Kinetics Pvt. Ltd., Descon Engineering Ltd., Tijaarat Developers, and E-Asia (Private) Limited.

The meetings centred on forging long-term partnerships, technology transfer, and joint ventures in the steel structure, energy, and industrial construction sectors.

Nazir Hussain, President of PCJCCI, stated that the visit by Hangxiao Steel Structure reflects the growing confidence of leading Chinese enterprises in Pakistan’s market. He affirmed PCJCCI”s commitment to facilitating meaningful business engagements and strengthening industrial cooperation between the two nations.

Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, added that the chamber”s role is to act as a bridge between the business communities. “By connecting Hangxiao Steel Structure with reputable Pakistani companies, we aim to convert dialogue into tangible collaborations that contribute to sustainable development, technology sharing, and economic growth,” he commented.

A representative for Hangxiao Steel Structure Co. Ltd. expressed appreciation for the arrangements made by PCJCCI, noting that Pakistan offers significant potential in infrastructure and industrial development. “Through PCJCCI’s support, we have had productive interactions with leading Pakistani companies, and we look forward to building long-term partnerships that create mutual value,” the representative said.
