CIA foils bid to smuggle 40kg hashish

DERA MURAD JAMALI:CIA Naseerabad claimed to have foiled the bid to smuggle 40 kilogram high quality hashish in an operation conducted near Jamali Petrol Pump, Rabi Canal area on National highway of district Naseerabad in Balochistan province on Tuesday. Two alleged accused were also arrested during the operation.

In compliance with the directives of Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Rae, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Naseerabad Range, Captain (Retd) Pervaiz Ahmed Chandio and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Naseerabad, Abdul Hae Aamir Baloch, team of CIA Naseerabad led by Incharge, CIA, Naseerabad, Syed Haider Shah and Sub Inspector, Muhammad Anwar Abro intercepted a Sindh-bound vehicle coming from Quetta near Jamali Petrol Pump, Rabi Canal area on national highway of district Naseerabad. Upon searching, 40 kilogram high quality hashish was recovered from the fueling tank of CNG fixed in the vehicle.

Besides taking over the vehicle allegedly used for smuggling hashis, CIA staff also apprehended two alleged smugglers namely Abdul Jabbar son of Khushal Waseer, resident of Ghotki and Mujahid Hussain son of Mukhtiar Ali, resident of Shikarpur, Sindh. Value of the seized hashis, reported to be smuggled to Sindh, was reported to be millions of rupees in international market. Further investigation was being conducted by the authorities CIA, Naseerabad.
