In a significant move to enhance the investigative capabilities of the police force, Sindh Minister for Home and Law, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, inaugurated a new Crime Scene Unit and a modernised laboratory at the Shahdadpur Police Training College.
Accompanied by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, the minister also unveiled a restored gymnasium at the training facility, according to a report sent from Sindh Home Department On Sunday.
Mr Lanjar emphasised the need to further elevate the standard of police training, stating that improved infrastructure and upgraded resources would strengthen the training system and help augment the professional skills of law enforcement personnel.
During the visit, DIG Training Faizullah Korejo and the college”s Principal, Madam Zahida Parveen, briefed the minister on the institution”s various departments and ongoing initiatives.
The Home Minister expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Crime Scene Unit officers, praising their professional services.
In a gesture reaffirming their commitment to environmental improvement, the minister and the IGP also planted saplings on the premises to promote the establishment of green zones.
Police officers from the Crime Scene Unit and other relevant officials were also present during the event.
