(City): Two labourers electrocuted in Larkana

Larkana: Two young labourers died of electrocution in Larkana on Friday.

 

A 20-year-old Nadir Ali Detho and a 19-year-old Ali Raza Detho, residents of Nazar Muhalla of Larkana, were working at an under-construction place owned by Abdul Karim Khuhro at Subhanallah Chowk area when they were caught by high tension live 11000 KV electric cables.

 

The bodies were brought to the Emergency Department of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for further necessary formalities and then handed over to their heirs.

 

Meanwhile, Dr Ershad Hussain Kazmi, CMCH Medical Superintendent, said that on Thursday, eight people were brought to the CMCH who suffered electric shocks due to unprecedented rains out of whom four had expired before reaching CMCH and lives of four people were saved.

 

He said those who expired include two persons of Rangers personnel and their bodies were sent to their hometown Sargodha through ambulance. He urged the residents to be extra cautious while operating electricity.
