Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has clarified that the Chief Justice of Pakistan will take decision regarding transfer of judges, dismissing the notion that judges from other provinces cannot be appointed at the federal level.
While addressing the Islamabad High Court Bar Association, Tarar emphasized the importance of non-interference from the government in bar matters, asserting he has never sought any backdoor support from any bar.
He highlighted the need for decisions to be based on merit for the 250 million people of Pakistan and stressed the importance of curbing false FIR registrations.
Tarar also mentioned that all political parties accept the 1973 constitution, indicating that it is time to enact laws serving the public interest.
