Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah today launched the e-Cabinet App, a digital platform designed to eliminate paper usage in government operations, potentially saving millions of rupees annually. The application, unveiled at the CM House, aims to modernize governance, enhance transparency, bolster security, and improve efficiency. The launch was witnessed by provincial ministers, including Sharjeel Memon, Saeed Ghani, Mukesh Chawala, Jam Khan Shoro, and Zia Lanjar, alongside senior government officials.
The Sindh government currently spends over Rs 11 million per year on paper, excluding related costs like file covers, boards, fuel, and personnel. The e-Cabinet App is projected to significantly reduce these expenditures while promoting a technologically advanced image for the provincial administration. The platform will also minimize the environmental footprint by decreasing paper consumption.
The new system will digitize the entire workflow for Chief Minister’s summaries, cabinet and Cabinet Committee on Finance (CCF) gatherings, along with meeting minutes. It boasts a performance dashboard for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), separate dashboards for the Chief Secretary and CM offering departmental overviews, robust search capabilities, and support for various file formats. The application also allows for personalized approval processes and offline access to downloaded summaries and agendas.
The app incorporates strong security protocols and represents a significant advancement in modernizing Sindh’s governance. CM Shah has instructed the Chief Secretary to propose necessary revisions to existing regulations to facilitate the app”s full implementation. The program is sourced from the Sindh Chief Minister”s office.
