During another operation, the same division confiscated non-duty-paid cosmetics, including creams, lotions, shampoos and petroleum jellies. These items were recovered from different passenger vehicles and are valued at Rs.2.4 million.
Separately, the Peshawar Division impounded two non-duty-paid vehicles – a Toyota Vitz and a Toyota Aqua – estimated to be worth around Rs.8 million combined.
In a related action, the Anti-Smuggling Directorate (ASD) Nowshera intercepted a JAC pickup transporting 2,000 sleeves of smuggled cigarettes. Both the vehicle and the goods were taken into custody, with the case valued at Rs.9.5 million.
Customs authorities noted that these targeted operations across KP demonstrate Pakistan Customs’ ongoing resolve, under the Federal Board of Revenue, to counter smuggling networks and protect the national economy.
