The directive was issued during a high-level briefing session held in the capital, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister to oversee the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s attendance at the 56th annual WEF meeting next month.
Mr Dar received a comprehensive briefing from the Foreign Secretary and Pakistan”s Permanent Representative to Geneva regarding the tentative schedule and agenda for the forum.
The bilateral component of the trip and a schedule for extensive media interactions during the visit were also discussed in detail during the meeting.
Stressing the importance of the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister directed that opportunities be explored to foster collaboration with private sector business organisations. He further emphasised the need to maximise interactions with the incoming Heads of States, Governments, and the senior leadership of prominent economic and financial institutions.
The forum’s annual meeting is scheduled to be held in Davos-Klosters from the 19th to the 23rd of the upcoming month. The theme for this year’s international gathering is “A Spirit of Dialogue”.
