DC instructs all AC’s to meet public on daily basis to address their complaints

A performance review meeting of the district officers was held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, evaluating the work of eight Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and 26 magistrates from May 1 to May 15.

During the meeting, it was briefed that magistrates carried out price control operations resulting in the sealing of eight shops and the arrest of 528 individuals. A total fine of Rs194,500 was imposed by the price control magistrates.

Due to shortcomings in price control operations, explanations were sought from four magistrates. The meeting also reviewed the actions taken by Assistant Commissioners against beggars, violations of price control regulations, use of plastic bags, and the presence of touts.

Pending court cases in Assistant Commissioners’ offices were also discussed. Additionally, the performance of district administration officers during the ongoing polio campaign was evaluated.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed all Assistant Commissioners to meet with the public on a daily basis and ensure immediate responses to citizens’ complaints during the day by contacting relevant authorities.
