Decision to provide plots on easy installments to under-training ASPs at National Police Academy Islamabad

In a significant step towards modernizing law enforcement agencies, it has been decided to provide plots on easy installments to under-training ASPs at the National Police Academy Islamabad every year and to send five senior police officers of SP/SSP rank abroad on scholarships to pursue degrees in artificial intelligence (AI).

This move was part of a broader welfare package for police personnel announced by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to the National Police Foundation (NPF) on Wednesday, where he chaired a high-level meeting.

The comprehensive welfare scheme also includes a provision to send 10 officers of the rank of Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and ASI from all over Pakistan on international scholarships annually.

Under an initiative designed to support the families of lower-rank personnel, the National Police Foundation will bear the full educational expenses of 15 sons or daughters of constables who secure admission in top-tier universities of Pakistan.

Newly recruited officers will also benefit from the new policies, under which the decision to provide plots on easy installments every year to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) under training at the National Police Academy has been finalized.

During the meeting, MD National Police Foundation Ali Nasir Rizvi gave the minister a detailed briefing on the overall performance of the institution and ongoing projects related to the welfare of police employees.
