In open market transactions, the US dollar experienced a slight decline against the Pakistani rupee today, while the euro, British pound, and other major currencies witnessed slight fluctuations.
The purchase rate of the US dollar saw a minor decline, dropping from 278.70 to 278.48 rupees, while the selling rate also slightly decreased from 279.59 to 279.42 rupees.
On the other hand, the euro witnessed a slight increase, with the purchase rate rising from 317.45 to 317.50 rupees and the selling rate increasing from 320.92 to 320.99 rupees.
The British pound also showed an upward trend as its purchase rate increased from 368.53 to 368.75 rupees, while the selling rate went up from 372.09 to 372.47 rupees.
The Japanese yen, however, experienced a slight decline with its purchase rate dropping from 1.72 to 1.71 rupees, and the selling rate also decreased from 1.78 to 1.77 rupees.
Similarly, the UAE dirham’s purchase rate decreased from 75.92 to 75.89 rupees, while the selling rate declined from 76.57 to 76.53 rupees. The Saudi riyal showed the same trend, with its purchase rate dropping from 74.27 to 74.24 rupees, and the selling rate decreasing from 74.86 to 74.84 rupees.
Meanwhile, in the interbank market, a slight decrease was observed in the dollar’s value, with the purchase rate decreasing from 278.17 to 278.16 rupees and the selling rate dropping from 278.37 to 278.36 rupees.
