Deputy Mayor Pledges Municipal Support, Highlights Baloch Traditions as Key to City’s Identity

Karachi’s Deputy Mayor, Salman Abdullah Murad, today affirmed the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s commitment to promoting cultural activities, underscoring the vital role the Baloch community”s heritage plays in the metropolis”s identity and social harmony.

In a message commemorating Baloch Cultural Day on Saturday, Mr Murad described the observance as a revival of traditional greatness and a symbol of national pride.

He noted that the Baloch residents of the city significantly contribute to its social and cultural fabric, with their customs forming an essential part of the urban landscape.

The Deputy Mayor characterised Baloch culture as a living embodiment of love, hospitality, and bravery.

He emphasised that such cultural commemorations offer an opportunity to foster pride in one”s identity and help connect the younger generation with their historical origins.

Mr Murad identified Baloch youth as the primary guardians of their heritage, positing that the continuity of their culture is maintained through their efforts.

He described Karachi as a diverse mosaic of different civilisations and cultures, within which Baloch traditions hold a distinguished position.
