Diplomacy – Pakistan Denonces Israeli Aggression Against Palestinian

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on the International Day of Peace, today condemned Israeli aggression against multiple nations and reiterated Pakistan’s support for Palestinian and Kashmiri self-determination.

He emphasized the importance of global unity, tolerance, and dialogue for establishing lasting peace, stressing that conflict resolution should be achieved through peaceful measures. Sadiq stated this year”s theme, “Act Now for a Peaceful World,” is both timely and relevant.

He highlighted diplomacy”s crucial role in maintaining peace, urging nations and world leaders to prioritize dialogue and understanding over conflict. Sadiq emphasized that true peace transcends the mere absence of war and rests on harmony, justice, and respect for diversity. He called upon the international community to champion human rights and advance equality, vital principles for building a peaceful world.

Referencing Pakistan”s actions aligning with the day”s theme, Sadiq noted that the National Assembly and Senate unanimously passed resolutions condemning Israeli aggression and affirming Palestinians” right to self-determination. Similar resolutions supported Kashmiris” right to self-determination and condemned India”s actions in the region. These parliamentary decisions, according to Sadiq, showcase Pakistan”s dedication to peace and support for oppressed populations.

Sadiq strongly denounced Israel”s recent attacks on Qatar, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran, deeming them violations of sovereignty and international law. He condemned Israel”s ongoing actions against Palestinians as crimes against humanity. He reaffirmed Pakistan”s unwavering support for the people of Palestine and Kashmir, emphasizing their pursuit of self-determination as a fundamental human right.

Sadiq highlighted Pakistan”s active participation in global peace initiatives and its advocacy for peaceful resolutions through dialogue in international forums. He urged the United Nations and the global community to ensure the peaceful resolution of conflicts, upholding UN Security Council resolutions and supporting Kashmiris” and Palestinians” right to self-determination. He called on all countries to uphold their commitments to international peace agreements and collaborate on resolving conflicts.

Sadiq expressed his aspiration for a peaceful future grounded in tolerance, unity, and justice. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah echoed the significance of peace for global progress and human well-being, underscoring the importance of tolerance, empathy, and mutual respect. Shah emphasized that dialogue should replace confrontation and reaffirmed Parliament”s commitment to global peace through legislative actions supporting the people of Palestine and Kashmir. He stated that Pakistan”s parliamentary consensus demonstrates the nation”s commitment to peace, justice, and the right to self-determination under international law.
