QUETTA: Secretary Health Department Balochistan Abdullah Khan on Monday said that draft procurement policy for procuring medicines had been finalised and it would soon be placed before the provincial cabinet for approval.
These views were expressed by him while inaugurating construction work for repair and renovation of Medical Store Depot (MSD). He said that digitalised supply chain management dash board in MSD had also been launched, adding that purpose of taking the step was to streamline the chain of supplying medicines timely and transparently.
Giving briefing, Additional Director, MSD, Dr. Faheem said that several sections in MSD had been set up besides forming committees, including procurement committee, sub committee, inspection committee and complaint committee. On the occasion, Deputy Secretary, Health Department, Riyasat Ali, Additional General Health, Dr. Faheem Khan, Incharge, Pharmacist, MSD, Naimat Kakar and others were also present.
