Member of the Provincial Assembly and a central leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Mir Ali Madad Jattak, in a statement today dismissed claims of a change in Balochistan’s leadership as mere political rhetoric. In response to recent political statements, Jattak emphasized that hopes for a change in Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s leadership are unfounded, and that the province’s leadership remains stable and united.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have reiterated their unwavering support for Chief Minister Bugti. They assert that the current administration, with the cooperation of allied parties, is focused on steering Balochistan towards development and prosperity, despite the challenges posed by opponents of peace.
The central leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has also, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, declared its support for Bugti and expressed full confidence in his leadership. This united front against the calls for change highlights the belief in Bugti’s leadership capabilities.
Critics and political rivals who speak of a change in leadership have been accused of merely seeking political gain. The government, however, insists that its efforts are focused on promoting development and ensuring stability in the region.
As Balochistan continues its journey towards peace and development, the provincial and national leadership remains focused on countering any narratives that could undermine their progress.
