DSP dismissed over charges of smuggling

QUETTA: The services of Ashraf Ali Kakar, DSP (Legal), Balochistan, has been terminated on the charges of smuggling non-customs-paid vehicles.

 

A spokesman for Balochistan police said on Thursday that Ashraf Ali Kakar, the then DSP (Legal), was arrested by police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the year 2018 on the charges of smuggling vehicles from Balochistan to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

The charges of smuggling two non-customs-paid vehicles to other province proved in the department inquiry conducted by Balochistan police. The spokesman further said that the opportunity of personal hearing was provided to the alleged accused and Inspector General of Police, Balochistan heard him in person, but the alleged accused failed to defend his plea, hence, the services of DSP Ashraf Ali were terminated from government service.
