Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid held a live E-Kacheri session here at the BISP headquarters on Tuesday, and raised awareness to protect deserving women from fraudulent individuals misusing BISP’s name.

She said no fees or survey forms are required for BISP registration. She said surveys are conducted through centers established at BISP Tehsil Offices and mobile registration vans.

She said BISP sends messages through 8171 only, and any message from other numbers is a fraud and must be reported immediately.

According to a press release, during the 1-hour and 14-minute session, 37 callers shared their concerns and issues with the Chairperson. She instructed the staff to resolve all complaints and problems on the spot.

Through the E-Kacheri platform, Senator Rubina Khalid said the beneficiaries should avoid sharing their personal information with anyone. She explained that once a survey is conducted, another survey of the same household is not possible within two years.

Therefore, beneficiaries should not repeatedly request surveys or visit centers unnecessarily. She reiterated that 8171 is the only official number of BISP, and any message from other numbers is fraudulent.

She urged the beneficiaries to count their payments carefully and report any deductions immediately. Senator Rubina Khalid assured that strict action will be taken against fraudsters and scammers. Beneficiaries are encouraged to report their complaints to ensure swift resolution of their complaints and accountability, she added.
